I know there are many songs of the 60s and 70s: Fortunate Son, House of the Rising Sun, various Rolling Stones songs, Hey Joe, etc.

Now I know I wasn't born in this time..in fact...I was born 20+ years later.

This song strikes me now...I haven't heard it in a while...since I was at home and my Dad was playing it. I forgot how good it was.

Let us not forget that the US government HAS imprisoned its own citizens without cause and fired upon its own citizensin the past 70 years.

That picture of the girl kneeling over the body of that kid that got hit by the rifle bullet at Kent State is one of the iconic images for my generation. Thanks for your post.
