I'm not for legalization of marijuana and it doesn't matter but I'll say this. Some medications over time will destroy the liver which will lead to death. marijuana won't do that but it will affect one's mind. So, you'll continue to live with a healthy liver but screwed up mind and opinionated.
Im not a smoker either but thats not completely true i think booze is much worse for the mind and body.

Neither am I but certainly alcohol will destroy one's liver over the years. And it does affect the mind-greatly. I knew a guy in Vietnam that if you said something to him, he'd dig out a bottle of whiskey from under his mattress and say, "I'll drink to that." I questioned him on te drinking and he said he was going to drink his way out of Vietnam. after I left, I heard that he indeed did drink himself out of Vietnam-he ended up in a rehab and by now he is long gone. He was a likable guy but not well respected due to his habitual alcoholism. Basically, he was harmless except to himself. That was over 55 years ago and I've never forgotten him.

This is a good thing......taxable income.....When fully legal Oklahoma will rake in more cash....

Just keep the law on top of the illegal growers and rake in the money.
horse racing was supposed to solve Oklahoma's tax issues, then it was casinos, both complete failures IMO

I doubt Okla will see any increase in tax dollars from pot considering most everyone who likes pot probably already has more than they need, the new law has only caused speculators to open 15 or more pot stores in every town that have no customers

Your kidding right apparently you have never lived with or been around alcoholic.
Booze seriously rots your brain unless you drink in extreme moderation. And maybe even then. Don't know about MJ yet. It's better than morphine, IMO, but doesn't fix everything, despite some folks claiming it does. We'll just have to see. Thing is, we've already proven that Prohibition doesn't work. Why keep flogging that particular dead horse? I figure we should license, regulate, and tax alcohol, all the drugs, and tobacco, just the same. They're all drugs, after all. The folks who overindulge to excess will weed themselves out of the gene pool.

Yeah, I was saying that in jest. I’ve been around alcoholism. In fact I’ve had my struggles with it. Been in treatment and in AA rooms. Seen people die from the disease. I unequivocally can say I’ve never heard one addict in either treatment or AA say they were there for pot. Not a single one. A few still smoke because they say it’s not ruining there lives and helps manage their real addictions. A few stay away from it knowing it could possibly make them slip back into their old ways and want to abstain. Either way, I don’t partake in neither pot nor alcohol, had enough of both in 30 years to last me the rest of the life I’m lucky to have.
