I can't eat that crap. Diabetes is an absolutely horrible way to die (early).
I like to warm a donut up in the microwave however I've been known to dip a donut in coffee.
Guilty on both counts!
my great grandmammy used to fry up the best doughnuts. then roll them in sugar and cinnamon.
Way back in my olden days, I'd go into the local drug store, which also served food and ice cream and other stuff. I loved ordering a cream-filled donut with a scoop of ice cream on top. The ice cream was usually soft enough to smash down over the entire top of the donut and then start eating with a fork.
I was surprised that no one listed Missy's Donuts in Guthrie. They make the best I have had since the late 80's plus they serve sandwiches up through lunch. Back in the 80's, I used to go to Western Oaks Donuts at 16th and MacArthur in OKC.
I have in the past two years taken a liking to those apple Danish things. No specific ones are better than others that I have found yet either.
However sometimes 7-11 has those cherry cake donuts, and I REALLY like those.
