Make sure where ever you get them, fresh never frozen. Boiled in crawfish boil along with red potatoes and corm on the cob.

There's an Asian Fusion restaurant called Saii at 6900 N. May in OKC that has am awesome sushi roll made with fresh crawfish; I think it's the "Red Canyon" roll. Wife and I both really like it.

Try Brent's in Edmond on Broadway Extension. Have had them there several times in last couple weeks, not great but good. Crawfish are in season right now

I've only had them once at a friend's house. They were in a tomato & rice based dish, more or less the consistency of a thick stew.

It was pretty good, but IMO they would have been better fried. But I'm a really big fan of fried seafood. :D

I love me some crawfish tails!

My least favorite way to eat crawfish is boiled. (Same with shrimp.) I like the tails sauteed and added to an alfredo sauce with some cayenne pepper over pasta.

I also like them fried up like popcorn shrimp. Pearl's has (had) a cherry mustard sauce for dipping the fried tails in. So delicious!

I'm also a big fan of crawfish etouffee.

Same here, but when done as part of a cajun boil with fresh new potatoes, corn on the cob, onion, shrimp and andouille sausage? Mmmmmm... :drooling:

The Big Easy in Yukon is awesome. It is expensive though. get the bread pudding after your meal.
I do not like Cajun King seems all his breaded stuff had sugar or cinnamon on it maybe I got him on a bad day but it was not good.

I have been eating crawdads since 4rd grade.. of course i caught my own and cooked them myself..
Fishing the ponds in Moore ok and taking the pinching suckers from all the creeks around.

I would shell the tails and then saute them in butter and seasoned salt with a bit of cayenne pepper.
Have all of it cleaned up before the parents got home.

It was almost a 3 times a week thing for me and my buddy eating the fish and crawdads we would catch after school.

Yea that was our favorite after school snack.
Some days we would just sit under the mulberry tree catching bull heads and eating berries.
We thought those bull heads were tasty also.

That's what I call them = crawdads! Caught them all day as a kid as well, BUT in Illinois they were play toys.. NOT FOOD! Now = FOOD! Salamanders were all over as well, and haven't seen one in decades. Don't think I'd eat them... [emoji107]
