Just got this nice lightly used Rock Island 1911. Sure is purdy.
I will let you know how this one shoots. Sadly though, I have to let the First one above go. I should enjoy tinkering with this new toy. Love the way these things are built.

Hah... Yes I did. After handling and shooting that Israel Arms 1911 I think I want to do some work to this one. I am a tinkerer so the 1911 may provide hours of enjoyment.

I'm kinda partial to "ivories" (real or fake) myself.
If I ever owned a 1911, it would have ivory panels on it.

The 1911 model is still the only pistol design that just feels right in my hand. It feels like it was made for me.
How do you like that RIA? I've been thinking of getting one myself. I have a Colt Delta 10mm, but I really really want a .45, but I don't have $1000+ to spend on one though.
