My deepest condolences on your loss. I don't think it ever gets easier.
My dogs are literally my kids. I love them that much. I have had to put several down and it never gets easier. I have three left. And my lab is 14.5! I know he don’t have that much longer.

So sorry to hear this.. they ARE family! We had to put our 12 year old MS down a little over a year ago, and it still seems like yesterday… Tears in my eyes and soul just thinking of it…Prayers to you
I love dogs more than people and I’m in the people loving business. 
Sorry to hear, I can speak for myself and say its gotten harder the older I've got, must be getting soft in my old age of 44!
Sorry for your loss. As you can see from the date, years ago I had to bury my German shepherd. He did a 2yr overseas tour with me and greeted my returns from battalion deployments. Hopefully this helps you as it did me.
