Question for GC and any other troopers

Ok, so last night I was involved in a hit and run. Call 911, they send out a trooper to meet me, but they specifically said that the trooper could not meet me at my home. I'm just curious about the reason for this. Not mad or nothin, just found it kinda odd.

Did you speak with OHP Dispatch or 911? Did you leave scene of accident already?

911 put me through to OHP dispatch. I had left, as I tried to get the other driver to pull over, and also got her license plate number.

GC says he has no idea. You would have to ask dispatch why they felt the need to tell you that.

Interesting. Oh well, no skin off my nose, I just stopped in the habitat for humanity parking lot and waited for him there. He let me send my wife on home and drove me home when he was done.

He was avoiding a setup possibility. After he saw that wasnt the situation, he went to your house with you.

They want the vehicles as close to the scene of the accident as possible. Evidence can be found, they must take measurements, and to verify the story even happened etc.
