excellent. Ive been looking for a benelli M2 for a while now without any luck. I had a guy contact me yesterday about one with an accurate iron race package for $1800 but damn that's a lot of money to have in a gun for competition that ive never even done lol.

Dude, give me a holler about a Benelli M2. I have one in the classifieds right now that would be right up a 3-gunner's alley.

Sorry bud, that's not correct. The Tactical model is not for 3 gunnin.
You don't want ghost ring sights or a short 18" barrel. I'm not even sure that barrel accepts chokes. You'll have a real hard time knocking down steel and hitting flying clays with a "tactical" shotgun.

M2 field is what you want.
21" is the minimum length barrel you want to use and with a vent rib barrel and Hi-Viz front sight.

What's your opinion on shot shell caddies? What is a good way to get started? I'm thinking pockets or some sort of pouch for the short term. I want to make sure I will like this before I invest a lot of money into gear.

A lot of guys are going with the load 2 or load 4 method. Invictus practical seems to be the best ones on the market right now.
If you want to get your feet wet without breaking the bank, get some 4 round California competition works caddies.

If you come to 3 gun @ okcgc, pm me and we can squad together and I'll let you borrow some caddies.

zghorner, go run one there! Like robar said, you will get lots of help. I ran one a couple years ago, and was loaned extended mags for my Glock, mag holder, shell caddies, belt, and a shotgun.

Thanks for the offer. I may take you up on it for the July 3 gun at OKCGC.

Are these events open to spectators who are non-members? Or do I need to get someone to sponsor me into the range area? I've been wanting to try this out someday and want to watch a couple of events to get a feel for it.
