Advice from someone who is 51 and was not kind to my knees, be kind to your knees, you will appreciate it when you are my age...
I agree with others that swimming and riding a bike are good and easy on the knees. If you swim and ride you'll work upper and lower body really well. Best of luck.
Thanks guys.
I started the process by drastically changing my diet, eating less and eating the good stuff. Since I really like to cook, it has actually been kinda fun. I am actually having a bigger problem getting enough calories lately, lol.
Oh, and by the way, if you haven't tried a Cliff bar, try one, NOW. White Chocolate Macadamia nut.......mmmmmmmm
Swimming may not be an option due to lack of availability, but I am going to get a nice bike. I plan on being capable on foot, but the bike should help me build the endurance with less abuse to the joints. Maybe run once a week and bike other times.
I like Clif bars, but they aren't that good for you, high in sugars...
Just watch how many/how often you are eating them.
a lot of bars have way to much sugar 20 grams of sugar 8 grams of protein is horrible go to SAMs and buy a 5 lb bag for 37 dollars.
