My dog is the only person here who is always glad to see me, and always misses me when I'm gone. Had a scare last week, found a huge lump on his rear left hock. Took him to our vet, rather expecting to have to have him put down. Was a lipoma. Removed, back home Friday afternoon. Easy surgery, and about half the cost we expected. Got some little El Arroyo Restaurants sign magnets on the frig.I prefer the company of my dogs and cats over at least 90% of the people I know.
You care about too many humans, then.I care deeply about 5-6 people and 800 dogs on internet I've never met
There is a whole lot of love going on in that pic!My wife took this last week. I had just got in from work and was still listening to a book, and when I sat down, I was swarmed by the “people” that love me most.

Once had a Holstein steer that was a pet. Dad brought him home and named him T-bone, as a newborn calf. The herd of little sisters and brothers objected to eating him. He was a sweet good boy. Not as smart as a dog, but gentle and careful around the little kids. Willing to walk around with them on his back, too. Also had a Welsh Pony, and a thoroughbred horse. Plus dogs, cats, rabbits, 9-line chipmunks, racing pigeons, parakeets, Banty hens and a rooster, a Mexican Green Parrot, and for a while there was an aquarium full of Red-bellied Piranha. Couple of desert tortoises, too. They'd eat grapes and lettuce from your hands, too. Hives of bees, too. Dad was a critter whisperer. Bastrich didn't pass that gene along to me, either. Some are for pettin’, some are for ridin’, and some are for eatin’. I’ll take them any day over 99% of the people that I know. Even the ones that I’ve tried to ride but didn’t want to be ridden.
How do you know they ain't wearing depends? And are just pissing all over themselves with the shear joy of being in your presence. Think positive man!!
