Saw this thread again earlier and just chowed a Chuck House steak.
Not sure if it's the best, but it's damn sure is the best for the money. 7 bucks for steak, potato and salad. Usually get it through the drive though and go home.

Oh yeah! Don't get me started on the ultimate steak Sammy. Lettuce tomato, ranch, grilled onion, bacon and cheese. Yum!
Charleston's and Cheevers. Kendall's is one of those places that all of the locals really over-sell. My dining companions: "See, I told you! Isn't it so good??" Me:"......So.. seen any deals on any good used furniture?"

Ok I went tho cheevers today while in the city and got the chicken fried steak because it seemed to be the most recommended on here. Well it was kindof small for a chicken fried steak but it was tasty with the jalapeño stuff.
Also. You guys could have told me it was a fufu / trendy kindof place.
