Did this several years ago. Was pretty sore for several days, bottom incision was much worse for longer. Sore mofo.

Only long term side effect is, when I gotta go I gotta go right now. Doc told me it would be like that, but he didn’t tell me why and I didn’t ask.

Drink a lotta miralax post surgery at least until you revisits the potty a few times. Thank me later.

I had mine removed in '98. Long story of idiot Drs and misdiagnosis.
Finally, end up in ER. They tell me gall bladder, 3 small incisions and go home tomorrow.

I wake up 3 days later, been field dressed, staples look like a long zipper. Had gangrene and crashed on the table, twice. Long, slow recovery; but only lasting effect is I can't eat peppers, nothing else bothers me.

Funny story, my wife about 5 years ago had hers removed. We had a cruise set up that same week, the doctor that removed it told her it wasn’t a good idea for her to go so soon. She had it removed on a Wednesday and we left out Thursday morning to the port, and of course she was extremely sore but she wasn’t gonna mis it. We boarded the ship and by 6pm later that afternoon we ended up in the casino, she hit a jackpot on the machine she was playing, $10k lol. For the rest of the cruise she forgot all about her surgery she had just a few days before.

Few years ago, we took the kids to Disney. My stomach started hurting soooo bad during lunch that I went the bathroom and just never came back. Wife and kids didn’t see me again until I got back from having my appendix removed. Doc took an x ray and said “it’s gotta come out now” and out I went LOL. I was back at the park the next day like it was no big deal other than having to remember my meds.

That said, the image you posted of someone banging on some device has me rethinking that I might EVER want to have knee surgery. At present, I don't have knee pain unless I am actually walking or getting up and down from chairs.

Had mine removed about a year ago. Had about 15 staples when they were through but it went well. Stay close to a bathroom for a while! Good old greasy food does not agree with me anymore.

get an oxbile supplement and use with large fatty meal and you are good.

Good luck. Worst part for my wife I think was due to the gas they pump in during the surgery.

Good luck, and it’s worth the trouble. Had mine remove over Christmas week. 2 Er visits and pain so bad about a total of 4-5 hours of sleep in 5 days. 2 procedures, and was in Hospital for 5 days. Prayers to you.
