KOCO is our “go-to” station for news and weather. Can’t stand Mike Morgan dancing around in front of his weather graphics. All three have some good folks, but it seems that 5 is where we watch the most.

KTUL started in Muskogee before moving to Tulsa, and 6 in Tulsa with 9 in OKC belong to the Griffin family, also of Muskogee.

This will happen more and more.

Look at the demise of the newspapers across the country. Many are gone. Others have been bought out and turned to liberal crap. For example, many newspapers are now owned by Gannett and USA Today, etc, and the local papers have little local news (some) but most of the content is sent down by corporate, and that does not benefit the local folks.

The newspapers of this sort keep a few local reporters around, and you'll see that, but the rest of the stories will be a lot of regurgitated crap that you won't like.

Same thing will the OTA tv stations. It takes a LOT of $$$$$$$ to operate one.

Many are losing money or barely squeaking by.

Newspapers. People don't read newspapers like they used to. Dinosaurs. Unfortunately.

You'll see, I think, OTA tv stations go the way of the dinosaurs and what is coming will be a trend of being Internet based. Much less cost to operate, save a LOT of $$$$.

The times are changing. They always have, they always will, for better or for worse.

I'm not very optimistic about the future for our grandchildren and others down the line as the years go by.
