UPDATE:

Letter from OSBI sent September 17

Letter (seen by SO) sat in pile of mail until September 29

Picked up permit September 30

Turned in my application today. The deputy gave me a little scare. I had downloaded my app online and he asked me where my coversheet was. I told him I threw it away and asked him if I needed to have someone fax over another copy. He said, 'Nah...we'll turn it in like this and hope they don't get too mad about it.'

Yeesh. I hope it doesn't get held up over that!

Is this a normal "turn-around" time for licenses or has there been a flood of new applicants. I've been holding off on taking the class and filling out the application, but if it's a 2 month process I better get started soon.
