I absolutely love it! OU chose MONEY and a new crowd over their brothers of many many years in The Big 12 so we say BYE. You cannot deny this FACT. Why pander to a group of money hungry want to bes in the SEC who have cut and run.
You OU and your bedfellow Texas have made this happen. It truly remains to be seen where you both will land but it sure won’t be in a national championship of Semi Pro football teams that has every intent to ruin the meaning of college sports.

There will be a day of reckoning because for every action there is an opposite and equal reaction. That some of us will truly enjoy watching. OSU and the remaining Big 12 will keep a more reasonable set of college football standards that are not grounded in MONEY

It's not just money, but a better venue and better recruiting. Sorry it's a no brainer. OU vs Arkansas, OU vs Tennessee, OU vs Bama, OU vs Georgia..... etc.

To each his own but every expert in college football says the move by OU and Texas was MONEY first the some of the other.

College football has been all about the money for some time now. The days of a kid getting a full ride and playing football while they get an education is long gone. A tradition like Bedlam or OU versus Texas to look forward to is now history. OU has and will always have better recruiting opportunity than OSU. A lot more car lots to pretend kids are working at too. 😜

Funny.... never saw OSU turn down Pickens' money? How much more relevant did they become after Ol Boone started filling up the coffers.

Pickens money went to FACILITIES. The 100 million from SEC is another matter. You can pay a lot of athletes with that. Pickens never did that.
Here’s another thing coming from the Sec and Big 10, they will leave the ncaa. This in turn allows them to make different rules of play and recruiting, pay to play the whole package This will happen. Semi pro nfl style football. Forget getting an education.

They are well on their way now (transfer portal & NIL). It's killing the sport right before our very eyes. They are bound and determined to make it minor league NFL. When's the last time you saw a minor league baseball game on ESPN in primetime?

FACILITIES draw in recruits and helps build the program.

What OU gains from going to the SEC doesn't translate to pay for players. That's the NIL deals and the opportunity is there for everyone. OU didn't make the rules.

Back to my point though...... did OSU turn down money from Pickens? No they did not. Point is, that all of these programs will take the money if there's an opportunity.
