I have been dragging my feet on lifting my Kawasaki Mule Pro because I’m frugal (aka cheap). I have to replace a tire and the OEM 4 ply pieces of crud cost too stinking much for what they are. I have read about guys swapping the rear A arms and getting clearance for 30s. Anyone here ever pull this off? I can’t find anything but pics after the fact.

I can try to answer any questions that you might have, but I don’t know a lot about Japanese mules.

They're actually Nebraskanese mules. Made in Lincoln.

I'm on my 4th Mule... But I have no idea what you're talking about. I've added accessories but never done anything like what you're talking about. Mine has slightly larger tires than stock.

I know...a bunch of useless info. I can't help it.

Frame is weak, reinforce the rear, I think there are kits for it. Known issue had a Pro FXT Ranch Edition, popped a weld driving down the street, bone stock.
I haven’t heard about that, but then I waste most of my time looking at stuff other than Kawi Mule stuff. Only issue I’ve had with mine in six years is ground clearance and stobbing tires.

If you look at the geometry of the OEM rear swing arms, swapping sides will extend the rear tires aft a couple of inches. It’s basically a way to do what the High Lifter swing arms do without spending five hundred bucks. They say if you do this along with the 2” lift you can fit up to 33” tires. Since I can get a full set of re-tread 8 ply groundhogs which I’ll never wear out on this thing for about the same price as an OEM 4 ply I just makes sense to me.

More things are needed to go 30’s. Clutch, clutch weights won’t last long, so needs upgraded.

Makes sense. Figured I’d upgrade the belt and clutch weights while I was doing surgery. There’s always a weak link. Just have to push it out to where it’s not going to be a total PIA.
