Any rifle (and some handgun rounds) used inside a house could exit the house. I hope you don't live next door to me. CB

PM me your adress I'm looking for a house in the city I'll be your neighbor:hey3:

Brick exterior slows em down a bunch. Unless I hit a window in which case it aint gonna matter. Any effective shotgun round. .i.e. buck shot will go through walls quite well too. Unless your using bird shot in which case it's only slightly better than a club.

I know one thing for sure:

The OC pepper spray is the absolute last resort.

After the shotgun, handgun, kitchen knife, and the baseball bat soaked in motor oil since 1938, maybe I'll point some pepper spray in the direction of the attacker.

...Easier to get a hit in the dark...

How so? Ever checked your pattern at 3 yards? It's what, 3 inches?

I wouldn't say easier to get a hit, but I would say a helluva more effective it. It's like being hit with 9 .32 bullets at once. That's why I'd go with a shotgun if we had one.

Right now, the choice is Baby Eagle .40 w/ cheap Federal JHPs or XD .45 w/ Winchester Ranger Ts. They are both on the nightstand.

both, .45 is first grab, followed by quick determination of threat, when I lived in the country, shotty was first as the threat could be larger or more of easily.
