I know a lot of people do not like to try to buy guns at auction as they usually sell for a premium, but I thought that some of you in that area may be interested. A friend of mine has asked me to help him work an auction in Muskogee this Sat (31st). The auction has several firearms. It also has some items from the old Mullendore "Crossbell" Ranch in NE Oklahoma. I think I am prohibited from posting links to auctions, so I'll just tell you the auctioneer's last name is Hopping and he has an auction service. That should give you enough search info to find a copy of the sale bill.

Good luck with your venture.
I use to go to many auctions and the guns always went for WAY above what you could buy them for in gun stores.
Plus, it is Wanenmacher weekend!

Ardmore is having their big police gun auction too, Not sure if it is this weekend or not but this year it is a sealed bid blind auction open only to gun stores and FFL holders
There is a list of guns but only a very short viewing window a few days befor the auction.
Over 200 guns but they are mostly hi-points and bryco-jennings.

I buy a lot of guns at auctions. I do better than I would buying at a gun show or gunbroker. The key to an auction is simple, don't get emotionally involved. Know the value of your item, figure in the buyer's premium and any other costs and if it goes out of your range, stop bidding. I have scored some really nice Lugers (many of which I can triple my money on) at auctions.

Same here.

I have found some good deals at auctions.

I don't like it when the LE auctions are for dealers only, I have bought some nice guns at good prices at those in the past.

I would like to have the the crossbell that hung at the entrance to the ranch, not sure what I'd do with it, but since I was a kid it always intrigued me.
