What issues should both parties compromise on?
First and foremost, a national budget, moving along into immigration reform (needs to be done for many reasons, but current proposal is bogus), health system compromises along with reform their "reformed" policy....on and on and on.
Either party is going to have to compromise more than the other from one issue to the next. We are supposed to elect our brightest minds into these positions that hold our best interests at heart, to tackle the issues we can't, because we are working so they have a salary to do that for us. While I for one may not be a fan of many that hold official positions right now, they did get elected for a reason. They held some (arguably) majority's priorities as their own. It starts by them actually doing the job they are paid to be doing, whether they like it or not, not taking a vacation every other month.
IMHO, instead of being called the "State of the Union" speech, it should be called the "State of the Lib Scam" speech or the "State of the Lib Dem Entitlement Speech" to get sheeple votes/uninformed voter votes. Another card has been added to the lib deck of "Dirty Tricks" vote getting cards----the "Race Card", the "Rich Need to Pay More Card", the "Class Warfare Card", etc.---now it is the "Entitlement to a Free Diploma" card. If you are for this "Entitlement to a Free Diploma" card, I hope your next heart surgeon, oncologist, brain surgeon, etc., etc., etc. is one of these "Entitlement to a Free Diploma" card persons.

Are you saying the the lib dems(under Obama) are sooooooooooooo now FK'd up that the Republicans HAVE TO WIN in 2016???? IMHO, they were totally FK'd up during Obama's first term and they won a second term. All those "Sugar Teat" & "Class Warfare Card" promises got him re-elected. At least enough voters caught onto "Obamanomics" and gave control of the House & Senate back to the adults.
We still haven't heard about what the two houses of congress should do to compromise from this post?

Politics is compromise. Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Burr, Hancock and all the rest of the founders built our government for just this purpose.
So what should our elected leaders do? They should do their jobs.... compromise and run our country. What should Dems and Re pubs do? Quit drawing lines in the sand and start following the Constitution.

Community college should be a low cost - free option for students and it should be called high school. The value of higher education has been greatly diminished due to the number of people obtaining a bachelors degree.
Healthcare costs are high, but that's because the testing, diagnosis, and treatment is much more advanced than it was 40 years ago. Obamacare is a giant clusterf*ck that actually reduced the quality of care for more Americans than it helped. But hey, your daughter gets free birth control pills now.
Child care is expensive. Suck it up, babysitting your child should not be my problem.
There is huge waste in government, not only by our elected representatives, but by the management of every department of government from the federal level down to the smallest towns. As long as, use it or lose it budget purchases are allowed and managers are not held accountable for the poor handling of our money, this will continue.
Unfortunately, modern men aren't ashamed to ask for a handout.
