Who makes the best washer and dryer?

Bosch used to be the best but they're no longer available in the US. Maytag was always a solid name but now they're made by Whirlpool. I had a Frigidaire but they're not very good. LG and Samsung are also not very good.

Who does that leave?

Don't know what the best is but don't buy samsung.

Washers are made cheaper than ever. The wifes old Maytag was built like a tank. Replaced it this spring with a GE. Half the models at Lowes are just rebadged models. No belts, all electronic, but at least it has and agitator and you can fill it up even tho it is a hi-efficency model. I will say it is quiet and spins the clothes to the point that they are almost dry! Cleans well, long term durability, who knows. I never buy extended warranties but in this case, I did.

Really LG not very good? They were one of the highest rated brands for high efficency front loaders when I bought ours last year.

I've had a front load LG Direct Drive washer and dryer for 3 years now with zero problems.

We've had a frontloader samsung washer and dryer for almost 3 years now. Love them. Never had any problems. Would buy again.

Front loaders are junk. Everyone brags about how much crap they can pile in one, and then they have to replace those bearings that go out and cost a ton to replace. Top loaders for me.

No issues with our Samsung Washer and Dryer. They are HE top loads with a ton of capacity.
