Run hide fight is a simple easy plan. It is better than stand there and get shot. There are other courses that teach the same thing. If you are not in the direct line of fire evacuate and help others evacuate, help defend the evacuation routes. Keep other people from entering the kill zone. If you have no where to run try and be inconspicuous. If you get to a point with no other options fight your way out. Many people here are on the go after him and kill him band wagon. That is not always the most practical way to go. Many people here work in jobs where they are prohibited by law from carrying firearms (military bases, and airports). You will save more lives by taking the targets away from the shooter.
