So I was hit by a drunk driver when I was a kid..... back pain WILL make you crazy. No I'm not justifying this by any means, just saying that back pain, in extreme form, is very serious. I have no idea how people deal with chronic pain.

A lot of things can come in to play in something like this. I had some major communications issues with the surgeons office when I was getting the hip replacement several years ago that really, really pissed me off. I was thinking legal action though and not violence.
Top severe pain with frustration and anger at actual or perceived neglect from the health care provider with pain medication that can severely alter your mental processes and bad things can pile up.
I cannot take Tramadol, that stuff really screws with my head.

The suspect in the shooting is Michael Louis. He was a patient of one of the victims, Dr. Preston Philips, and shot the docton over ongoing pain from a back surgery in May.

May? May was only 3 days ago. Surely he didn't have surgery last month and expect the pain to be gone in 33 days. May of last year maybe?

Back surgery on May 19th, released the 24th.

I would like to know if "treatment" was a request for more drugs? What was his history with drugs.... if any?

14th was his surgery not even healed yet
