Prarie Dog Hunting

I'm a big 22-250 fan myself. 40 grain Hornady vmax on coons or possums is my experience so far, and they are devastating. Gotta get out there on the pdogs.

I went with a 26" bbl on mine with a 1/12 twist and so far it seems as if the 50gr vmax bullets are deadly accurate out to 400 yards so them pdogs dont have a chance when I get out with it.

I been going for last 5yrs shootin 400rds a day per person , went this year to find our place flooded and lost probly 80% of our dogs.

There are a bunch of them in Western Oklahoma, from Major County on out to the panhandle. Shouldn't be much problem getting permission to snipe as many as you want.

CAUTION!!! Just make sure they're not on the national registry.

Went out last weekend here in Canadian County. We shot 2 towns on property that I come into. 17hmr's and .223 were the guns we drug out. We shot over 100 dogs. Was a blast to say the least. Probably go out again this weekend. Also when I go to Montana, I shoot dogs up there. Thousand of the in the towns I have access to.
