Does anyone else on the board not like 1911's?

Heck, everyone has started making their own version over the past 10 years .... even Smith & Wesson, Taurus, and 'soon' Ruger will have their's out. 100+ years of history can't be bad ... JMO

(BTW, I 'only' own about 15 of them .... LOL)

10-8 also had the Springfield Custom shop do a run of guns last few years. Dunno why they fell out with Nighthawk.

As far as the $500 goes, I'd put my China built Norinco up against any G21. :D :D :D

I looks like Nighthawk still offers it:

Heaven forbid I say I think we may actually be getting off-topic, if that's possible in this thread!

I guess I'll just ask: Is this thing worth 5 Glocks? Or 4 Norincos?

I dunno you tell me. Is a Lexus worth 3 Toyotas? Is a Porshe worth 2 Corvettes? Some would say yes..... some would say no.

To me, my custom built 1911s were worth it. I sold several guns to get them and definatly don't regret it, they just shoot significantly better for me than anything I had owned before.

Well said... even though our opinions differ on the definition of a "custom"... but yes... it is well worth it.

The real question is are you ready to spend $2600 for a single handgun??

Personally, I would like to one day.

But it begs the question... What is the value added in a $2600 gun opposed to a $550 gun. If its truly a function > form, How much more reliability/accuracy should $2050 represent?

Sorry, Traxis/GMT. You know I love the '11.

100% Reliability, and nothing less.

NOTHING less.
