1400 miles on my bike since the first of April. Probably add 100 more this weekend. Averaging about 19mph on my solo rides now.

My steed:

I've been riding for almost 30 years now. Keep going! It pays dividends !
Great job!

As of today, I am officially no longer Obese! Just Overweight, haha. BMI=29.8

As of last week when I weighed, I was about 11 lbs away. I am looking forward to being just "overweight" in a few weeks instead of "obese".

At my peak a few years ago, I had a BMI of 42, well over the "morbidly obese" mark of 35.

I've set a couple of weight-loss goals for myself, but that is the first one to achieve, and then to get under the 200-lb mark.

Slowly but surely...

The BMI scale is pretty unreal for tall people. It says 189 for me to not be "overweight," and I could be as low as 145 and still be in the "normal" range. 145lbs and 6'1" would be in the "freakishly too skinny" range if you ask me. I was like 165 when I got married and it looked like I was skin and bones. I'm at 205, and don't really have a weight loss goal, other than I want to change some flab in my middle out for muscle.

I've been working out 3 days a week, and doing some bike riding and other workouts on the off days. I sure feel a whole lot better already!

Oh, and congrats to Dustin and all you others for getting in shape!

I agree. I'm 6'1" and was 160 when I got married. I cut my hair real short, and people started asking if I had cancer. At 145, I'd probably look like Christian Bale in "The Machinist". I'd like to get down to 180 though, I think I looked pretty healthy then.
