Strangest Person You've Dated

Probably my cousin that was my girlfriend through high school. We aren't biologically related - my grandfather was married to her grandmother after my GM died. The cousin deal wasn't the strange part; she wanted to move on to another guy when I was a senior and I'm like "OK, I hope you're happy" kind of deal and trying to be nice. Wrong answer! She was pretty hot-tempered to begin with and gave me hell for about a month. Sure glad we didn't have cell phones, internet, & social media in the late 60's. Today we are close friends and I love to say "she's not my girlfriend anymore, but she's still my cousin".

I lived with a single mom for awhile. She had an 8 year old son that I took shooting all the time, and had a lot of fun together, but the mom was a complete nutcase. One night while I was sleeping, she jumped on the bed and started punching me in the face. I got up and drove down to the local bar where she showed up about 30 minutes later. Ordered a water, threw it on me, and then hurled the glass like a football at me. It missed as I ducked in the kitchen area, hit the wall, and shattered all over the place. I moved out the next day.

About a year later she was arrested. FELONY DOMESTIC ASSAULT AND BATTERY IN PRESENCE OF MINOR, THREATENING VIOLENT ACT OF VIOLENCE, MALICIOUS INJURY TO PROPERTY, OUTRAGING PUBLIC DECENCY.

Then she was arrested again about six months later for the same thing. Last I heard she was still locked up.

A friend set me up with a lady that baby sat for him and his wife. Went picked her up for the date, she lived an hour away. Over the course of the night I find out she's a stripper and is very flakey. But she was good looking so I gave the benefit of the doubt. We stayed up late but didn't do anything. Took her home the next day and she says come in for a cup of coffee. So I'm sitting there sipping the coffee she just handed me. Then she says her ex husband is addicted to meth and is very jealous and drives by her house all the time and I don't want to get caught at her house. Little voice in my head says leave and cut my losses. I tell her I don't think this is going anywhere and leave. She calls every week drunk wanting to go but I say no. But she called at 2am everytime and was drunk. Told my friend don't ever sit me up again. Him and his wife didn't know she was a stripper or that her ex was a meth addict.

I can't recall reading one more entertaining in a long time.

Since my bumper sticker says "Honk if you've been married to me," I don't have any profound advice to offer. Crazy dates? Yep, lots of them, but none as entertaining as what I see here. If you ever saw the old Eastwood movie "Play Misty for Me," I think I dated the same woman, but all I got was tossed into a rose bush about 3:00 in the morning, admittedly not without some provocation.

I've always been attracted to the crazy but have been too level headed and goal oriented to mess with them. Always been around really straight laced women. If for some reason it doesn't work out with my wife (probably be married forever knowing both of us) I'm climbing on the crazy train and riding it into the sunset. Mark my words.
