I think he does it as an attention grabber. I have seen that banner for years. His tables are always crowded with people buying, so it must work.
And to think you were 2 miles away from some of the best BBQ in the Tulsa area. :-( Next time scoot on over to Harvard turn left and go up about a mile and eat at Albert G's. You will slap yourself for going to Famous Daves.
It's an old married couple that have a banner in Yellow that says "Clips and Grips". I purchased from them for years. Nice old couple and they have just about anything you can desire. I've been able to pick up some hard to find "Clips" from them in the past and yesterday they had the perfect set of Bolo checkered grips for my Hi Power.

With the bad toupee, rose colored glasses and oxford shirt. He has been coming to that gun show as long as I can remember and I have been going since 1987. It's just creepy as hell.
I didn't go, so I got out of a big crowd. Went outdoors and enjoyed the day.
