500cl clay beer mugs are by far the best travel coffee mugs. They're neither spill proof, durable or lightweight and they don't fit cup holders, but they hold the heat pretty well and I get to toast every cop I pass on my way to work.

I have a Thermos coffee mug. It keeps my coffee hot, seals tight, and when open allows unrestricted coffee drinking. It's not spill-proof when open though. But I got tired of fighting my mug to get a sip of coffee, so I'm ok with it being either open or closed. I got it from Walmart for $20 I think.

Once you go Contigo, you never go back.

this. a thousand times this.

various styles to fit your needs, well made, and doesn't require you to carry a mug that resembles a coffee pot in size and appearance

We sell Pelican brand tumblers in the starting at around $25. They're pretty nice from the best that I can tell, but I don't drink coffee, just cold drinks.

Anyone tried the Hydro Flask?
No but I have a kleen kanteen. Insulated wide mouth. I like it better than my Yeti as the lid seals completely. Spill proof at way. I can throw it in a bag or whatever. Fits in my bike bottle cage.

Buy some spare gaskets though as they can get a bit foul after a while (year or so). Also the inside can stain some but a scrub with a melamine sponge (magic eraser) cleans it right up. If being spill proof is a priority then pass on the yeti/rtic and get the KK or the HF.
