Red flag laws are no different than the child protective laws being used by these spoiled brats calling in CPS to fill a complaint because they are made it somebody.
SWATting somebody you don't like, a a joke.

Fascist is so fast to post a FAKE CHECK or ban a person for saying something they don't agree with. Why isn't FB, Twitter, whatever; held accountable for not reporting these sick pukes, when they post (for weeks) their plans and intentions? Or hold the media accountable.

I never thought I would say this and I’m having second thoughts as I write it but is there really a need for civilian ownership of Ar15 type rifles? I know all the arguments that it’s just a semi auto rifle etc etc. I’ve owned them, shot 3 gun, had one outfitted for home defense, deer hunting, etc. Also if we give up that then what will we lose next? Just seems maybe it’s time we think about allowing an 18 year old walk into a gun store and buy 2 Ar’s and a bunch of mags with ammo. I realize it’s a big issue on rights versus restrictions. Just thinking out loud here.

Besides shooting his grandma, what else did he have planned if anything? Almost seems like the school was an afterthought after he crashed.
If I read the time line correctly, he made three FB posts stating what he was going to do next. The last post being 15 min prior to arriving at the school, and the post stated that he was going to shoot up the elementary school.

We were having this conversation at lunch today. There certainly could be an argument made for 18 year olds and AR’s but is an 18 year old any crazier than a 21yo or a 25yo?
Just thinking out loud here.

That sure doesn’t have any horrible consequences, or violate the constitution... Judge, jury, executioner, and impunity.

They shouldn't flee. Just like those that the left are all up in arms about every damn day being killed by LE. Comply with the Police and you've got a 99.9999999% chance of surviving every encounter with LE.

Nobody has ever won an argument with LE on the side of the road.

That is why WE need to write the laws, not just keep saying no and expecting the problem to go away.
Considering this shooting, what laws do you think could stop it from happening?

I don’t think laws stop murderers. There have always been bad/crazy people and there always will be.

Also, what does it matter what type of gun someone uses? Or if they use a car or other weapons?

You’ll just have to keep passing laws criminals and psychopaths don’t care about one bit.

Video games? Really?

If violent video games were the culprit, schools would be emptied from the carnage.
I attended a training in 2019 specifically on how to prevent these incidents by assessing threatening behavior. The trainers are considered the experts on targeted school shootings. They were very experienced and presented what I imagine to some to be very unpopular data. I'll add that nothing in the training had a political point of view. At one point a question was asked about video games. One of the presenters replied, as best I remember it, that "if video games and easy access to firearms caused school shootings, then there would be one every day." I suspect that video games can contribute, but definitely not a cause.
