I believe people can be psychologically addicted to pot. Using a little bit all day- they call it micro-dosing. So, they may not get 'high' but it takes the edge off, whatever that means. If the environment doesn't allow smoking, it can be an issue for sure.

I was joking with you. It’s the same plants. I’ve never heard anyone else say there was a difference
According to those that were pushing for medical there is a difference. Of course they could have been lying then too. Kind of like saying the tax money raised will be put to good use. Anyway this piece has the same info as the arguments made to get medical.

"Medicinal use cannabis is primarily CBD-based, versus THC-based. CBD is the active ingredient that’s tweaked, if you will, with medicinal cannabis. Recreational cannabis will likely have more of a THC content," he said.

I would personally be more inclined to vote for this, when and if the shenanigans with medical can be fixed. With shops on every corner, Chinese and cartel owned grows, and workers, in addition to having a way to see if drivers are high and driving.

For those that doubt you can get addicted to pot, read up.

Addiction (Marijuana or Cannabis Use Disorder)

Some people who use marijuana will develop marijuana use disorder, meaning that they are unable to stop using marijuana even though it’s causing health and social problems in their lives.
  • One study estimated that approximately 3 in 10 people who use marijuana have marijuana use disorder.1
  • Another study estimated that people who use cannabis have about a 10% likelihood of becoming addicted.2
  • The risk of developing marijuana use disorder is greater in people who start using marijuana during youth or adolescence and who use marijuana more frequently.3

It still amounts to they did something right.

Seriously those that drive impaired should be severely punished.
1st offense lose their license and a year in prison.
2nd lose their license for even longer and 5 years in prison.
3rd 20 years.
Kill someone, a shot to the back of the head. No long appeals process. just a bare room with a drain in the floor.

I've argued for years that every DUI should be treated as an attempted murder.

I do however think that everyone is entitled to due process, because "America" and all that.

I agree about everyone deserves due process. So suspected impaired drivers should be medically tested and if impaired should be tested. No slimy lawyers getting rich boy off because his dad is a senator. You are tested and if impaired the judge gives you the mandatory sentence.
