Here we go again, another school shooting. This time in Texas

It could be that these shooters do have something in common - mental health, and meds.

We live in a society where the majority doesn't like the thought of locking people up though, whether criminal or mental. Except for children with psychological issues.....we let the adults with the same issues roam.

I saw a report on TV tonight about this subject. One pundit was saying we need to use retired police officers, ex military, etc to be enlisted for school guards, but another said that is not really the best solution as there are multiple entrances to each building as there must be in case of fire, etc. and a single or even two guards cannot cover all of them. Over 900,000 school doors in the US.
He advocated trap doors monitored by video security. Trap door being the second door cannot be opened until the first door is closed and locked. The second door can only be opened by a human monitor effectively trapping a potential shooter inside. Problem with that is in the winter with heavy clothing, concealment is simple, so do we need to go with the metal scanners used at airports in the trap doors? Hand bags and coats ran through a scanner? Possibly?
Why doesn't bidens government install these security measures vs sending 40 billion to Ukraine that is not accountable as to who gets it and where it is spent?
That 40 billion would install those doors to every entrance to every school and pay the salary's of the monitors.

Hopefully that pundit realizes that buildings with multiple exterior doors can be retrofitted to make them more secure and allow for the single point of main entry to be properly guarded. It happens in federal buildings all of the time.

One dot that I see is that the left elites want to disarm citizens. I've seen no evidence that they are directly orchestrating things like this, but they sure seem to try and take advantage of any event they can.

I haven't connected that dot for myself, but it's out there.

Well said, it's just like Hillary. Although there is no direct proof behind all the mysterious deaths of individuals who are connected to her, many people believe she is behind their demise.

Not gonna argue, you are correct.

My point is - I hear folks casually discuss being on different meds for all sorts of things, apparently they accept it as normal. We did not evolve to be medicated.

That’s not the way humans work. OSA is a perfect example of that. You have wild conspiracy theories starting about Soros and liberals instead of blaming a weak mass murder.

This is more of a "cause" discussion IMO. One thing to note is that the statistics posted previously are very interesting. 24 shootings under Obama, whom seemed to call for legislature every week regardless of the scenario. I'm far from a CT guy but there's a variable there that needs to be explored. Along with the timing of these shootings, they are just strangely convenient for the left. Finally, IMO Soros is evil. He so narcissistic he thinks his actions are altruistic, when they are obviously just a politically motivated ego trip. I don't put anything past him because the end always seems to justify the means with him and his money.

Nowadays taking meds doesn't mean there's something wrong with you, they're just for enhancement, to make life better.
Viagra for instance.
Seems mentally ill used to mean totally psychotic bang-your-head-on-the-wall obviously crazy and a danger to yourself or others.
Now it means can't deal with real life.

I blame all the wireless devices we have, all those radio waves going thru our heads all the time.
