It isn't too hard to tell the difference between guys who played with erector sets, and those who never saw a need to move past Lincoln logs...

In LA in the 70’s, I had an ER patient who put a long gun under his chin (while still inside a sporting goods store). Had difficulty finding the trigger due to the length & just blew off his jaw yet amazingly survived. (Thyroid cartilage was visible).
Prob regretted not using a handgun instead.

In our county, we had one use a shotgun and left half his face on the roof of his truck cab. Dude survived.
