While I like black eyed peas, I love hoppin john. Gonna pan sear a NY strip and have some hoppin john for lunch.

Did a pot of black eyed peas today with onion, garlic, bacon and ham. Nice dollop of horseradish in the bowl before eating. Love them, especially when mixed 50/50 with green beans.

Just had a big bowl of black-eyed peas with smoked ham shanks and jalapeño corn bread. It's likely the best pot of peas I've ever made.
