I'm currently riding an 87 Yamaha Venture. It's my second old Venture and when I wear this one down to a parts bike I'll probably look for another of the same. It weighs a ton, but with the full bags and trunk can carry the groceries or lots of junk for long trips. The engine is a narrow V-4 so my legs and feet have lots of room. It's also a great fit for the long legged set. It's old and ugly enough that people leave it alone no matter where it's parked. For a big old tourer, it's surprisingly quick cause it has the same engine as a V-Max.
I'm not a brand snob and will wave to all. Riding anything is better than any cage - except in an ice storm.

IF I win the lottery it will be a tough choice between an Ultra Classic or a Royal Star Venture.

Happy Birthday Devil Dogs. Semper Fi

Mine is a 2007 Honda VTX 1300R. Last year I rode it to Denver & spent a week driving the curves & canyons through the mountains there and this year rode it to Sturgis. It sets me free from any worries that I might have, while I ride.

I ride an '04 Harley Classic w/all the add ons and 102hp. I bought my first "new" Harley in 1960 and there you have it. Got off on Jap bikes for a while, yea, they might be faster, but it ain't near the same ride. Had to go to a "bagger" after I broke my back in 2003. Have never looked back.

Depending whom you ask, you don't want to have to justify one either.

No rider should justify his ride. I even give a nod and a wave to the guy on a Vespa. Why? Because he is on something that suits his needs and does the job for which it is intended. He's out here with us, arguably with less viability than a bigger bike, and he's still having fun. Kudos sir, hell yes you get my respect.

Only douche canoes buy a bike to make them "cool". Sorry dweeb, no amount of horsepower will fix your issues. Ride what you want and want what you ride - don't be a poser.

QFT!!!!! I would only add "Sorry dweeb, no amount of horsepower or chromewill fix your issues."
